Cuelift Terms of Use

Effective 20 October 2026

On this page

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Mobixify LTD ("Mobixify", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16138122 and its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. They govern your use of Cuelift (the "app"). By downloading, installing or using the app you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Apple's Standard EULA

If you get the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") also applies to you. These Terms add to the Standard EULA. If they conflict on a matter that the Standard EULA covers, the Standard EULA prevails. Apple is not a party to these Terms: Mobixify, not Apple, is responsible for the app, its support and any claims about it.

Licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices that you own or control, in line with these Terms and the terms of the store you got it from. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent or distribute the app, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, remove notices from it, or bypass its purchase checks. We and our licensors keep all rights in the app that these Terms do not give to you.

Your content

The scripts you write and the videos you record are yours. The app processes them on your device, and we do not receive a copy or claim any right in them. You are responsible for your content, including having the right to use any text, music, image or likeness in it, and for getting the consent that the law requires before you record other people.

Free and Pro features

Writing and importing text files, the prompter, mirroring and recording are free. Free takes can run up to 3 minutes. Pro unlocks unlimited take length, 4K recording on supported devices, .docx and Google Docs import, and custom colours, fonts and themes. Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The plans on offer, their prices and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency. Prices vary by country and can change; when a price of a running subscription changes, Apple or Google tells you and, where the law or the store requires it, asks for your consent before the new price applies. The Google Docs import fetches the document directly from Google, and only public documents that you have the right to copy can be imported.

Subscriptions

  • Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel it in time: on the App Store at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, on Google Play before the renewal date. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Free trial. If a free trial is offered, the purchase screen shows the date on which billing starts. If you do not cancel in time, as described above, the subscription starts and you are charged. A free trial can be used once for each Apple Account or Google account, and any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • Trial reminder. If you allow notifications, the app reminds you on your device two days before a free trial ends. The reminder is a courtesy and may not appear, for example when notifications are off. You stay responsible for cancelling before the trial ends.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of your Apple Account or Google Play account. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep Pro until then. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Lifetime purchase. A lifetime purchase is paid once, does not renew, and unlocks Pro for as long as the app and its Pro features remain available to you in the store.
  • Restoring purchases. You can restore your purchases on a new device by tapping Restore Purchases on the Pro screen, signed in to the account that made the purchase.

Refunds

Purchases are billed by Apple or Google, which decide refund requests under their own policies, so please ask them first. See Apple's refund page and Google Play refunds. If the app is faulty or not as described, you can also write to us. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights, including any right to cancel a digital purchase, are not affected.

Permissions and safe use

The app asks for access to your camera and microphone to record, and for permission to save your recordings to your photo library. You can refuse or withdraw any permission in your device settings. Do not use the app in a way that is unsafe, for example while driving.

Availability and changes

We may update, change or withdraw features of the app, and we will try to give notice of changes that matter to you. The app needs a device and operating system version that meet the requirements shown in the store.

Warranty and liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for loss of data such as unsaved recordings. Keep a copy of anything important. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects the rights you have as a consumer, including that digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Subject to this, our total liability to you for all claims about the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending these Terms

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We can end your licence if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply will do so after the Terms end.

Governing law

These Terms and any dispute about them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless the law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts or to rely on its mandatory consumer rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The new version applies from the effective date shown on this page, and your continued use of the app means you accept it. We will say so in the app's release notes on the store when a change matters to you.
